Dental school doesn’t teach students business operations. That’s where we come in. We teach dentists and their teams the business side of dentistry. You will learn the systems required to measure and monitor your practice. We’ll introduce you to a team of trusted advisors from many fields you’ll need to interact with. We’ll help negotiate bids, review architectural drawings and real-estate contracts. We’ll make sure your website and marketing are up to industry standards. We will hold your hand for the first year while you build your practice, ensuring you are making the best choices which is crucial when you’re just starting out.

WHAT WE DO

Guidance | Working side by side, we assist you from the inception to the completion of building your practice. Whether it’s creating a business plan or reviewing architectural drawings, we are right there with you every step of the way.

Education | Dental school doesn’t teach students business operations. That’s where we come in. We provide Leadership Executive Training to teach dentists and their teams the business side of of dentistry. You will learn the systems required to measure and monitor your practice.

Relationships | You will need to work with a team of trusted dental advisors as you build your dental practice. We have conducted the due diligence on all the professionals we recommend nationwide ensuring you will receive the best possible support.

Observation | During our office visits, we will observe interactions with patients. We will coach you and your team on best practices based on what we observe. This ensures learning how to create successful interactions with real examples.

Measurement | How does your team measure up? How can you help them, and your business thrive? We provide system accountability and performance measurements each month to monitor your team’s progress.

Follow-Up | Once your doors open and the Action Plan we’ve created together is implemented, we will come back to your practice to analyze your progress. In addition, we will follow up with telephone coaching monthly or as needed as until your year comes to a close.

TIMELINE

Start | Prior to initial on-site visit

  • Create a Business Plan to include vision, mission, and budget
  • Demographic report review and secure location
  • Relationships confirmations and bid reviews
  • Collectively completing all the actions items steps listed on previous pages (Steps 1-7)
  • On-site one-on-one Leadership Executive Training occurring 2-3 month ahead of opening
  • Interview and hiring of team
  • Telephone skill training
  • Bi-Weekly coaching with doctor regarding monitoring progress of the practice action items

Month 1 | Initial on-site visit — 4 days in office

  • Facilitating the Soft Opening Day which occurs one week before official day
  • Onsite Training Day 1: No patients are scheduled this day. Day 1 consists of presenting the business systems that will be running your business, a step-by-step plan of action for the practice and training. During this approximate eight-hour training you will be invited to comment, ask questions and even video tape if you choose.
  • Onsite Training Day 2: We will be observing and coaching while patients are scheduled, helping to guide the flow of the day to ensure practice success in real time. The doctor(s) should be prepared to have lunch with the consultant. This time is spent reviewing over the morning schedule and focus on moving forward on training and implementation the specific remaining systems in the afternoon.
  • Presentation of Action Plan: Focused afternoon training based on the morning observation. A presentation and implementation of your monthly statistical data reporting is included in the afternoon training.
  • Practice Manual: You will receive an extensive practice protocol manual that documents the consultants trainings and step-by step plan of action, and training and implementation tools to enhance the practice and its profitability. Special attention is given to the organization of the protocol manual, allowing the team to use it a s a daily guide when implementing the recommended system protocols. The manual also includes a summary listing of all proposed action items to be implemented in the first thirty days and is prefaced by the team member(s) accountable for its implementation. A six-month detailed action plan will be delivered within the next thirty days.
  • Measuring Progress: The goals and measurements of your practice will be monitored monthly and reported to you by your personal consultant to gauge the progress of the team’s efforts over your first twelve months.

Months 2-6

Video conferencing coaching with doctor/team includes:

  • Monthly monitoring progress
  • Implementation updates and coaching
  • Overhead Analysis

Months 7

  • Your personal consultant comes back to the practice and analyzes your progress. A presentation to the entire team focuses on additional goals and objectives for the future as well as onsite assistance in implementation and any additional training.

Months 8-12

  • Recap and final steps
